These Candles Are The Bees Knees

Etty's desire to make 100% natural beeswax candles drove her to start The Wicked Bee Candle Company, turning her part time hobby into a business.

What kind of imagery comes to mind when you think of candles? Flames, wicks, wax, romance. How about Bees? Not treacherous wasps, but helpful , hardworking, wax producing honeybees. The Wicked Bee Candle Company has a goal: To provide customers with pure, all natural candles that complement healthy lifestyles, and positively impact the environment.

The Wicked Bee Candle Company, established in 2009, stemmed from owner Etty’s desire to make natural products and express creativity. In the same year, Etty took a beeswax candle making course, falling in love with the art of beeswax candle making, turning it into a part time hobby and business.

Etty worked in a small studio, purchased turkey roasters to melt small batches of beeswax, and launched a website with an online store. From there, she attended small craft shows, finding herself explaining the difference between beeswax candles and paraffin wax candles. For years, The Wicked Bee remained a small business with a small loyal customer base who appreciated the longer burn times and natural aromas. The Wicked Bee hopes to positively impact the environment through a sustainable process. They do this by heating melting tanks using solar energy. Below are some Wicked Bee products, for more information visit https://www.thewickedbee.ca/
